Priority Ambulance Leadership Foundation, Inc today announced the launch of its EMS Leadership of Tomorrow Program. The program is designed to provide a clear career path forward for the future leaders in the emergency medical services industry. This program also signifies the launch of the foundation., a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization designed to provide educational and mentoring opportunities future leaders in the EMS industry.
“We saw a need in our industry to bridge the gap that exists in national management training and mentorship programs for EMS professionals to cultivate the future leaders in EMS,” said Bryan Gibson, Chairman of the Foundation Board of Directors and CEO of Priority Ambulance. “Our accelerated executive program will provide an essential knowledge base for up-and-coming EMS managers, executives and entrepreneurs in every aspect of our business.”
“The standout stars of our organization and throughout the industry needed a clear path to be able to learn how the ambulance business functions and how companies and operations can be successful and sustainable in the long-term. We believe the Leadership Foundation and our EMS Leadership of Tomorrow program will provide that path and give our future leaders the support to reach the next level and progress in the industry.”
The idea for creating the foundation originated in the Owner Group of Priority Ambulance, comprised of EMS entrepreneurs that are the founders and former owners of some of the most successful regional ambulance services in the country. After joining their companies with the Priority Ambulance family of companies, these EMS business leaders serve on a special think tank with the goal of finding solutions within the company and industry. Several members of the Owner Group are currently serving terms on the nonprofit board of directors for the Priority Ambulance Leadership Foundation.
“Our Board of Directors brings hundreds of years of collective experience in EMS from operational executives to company owners,” Foundation Board President Gary Coker said. “We are passionate about sharing the lessons we have learned and the industry best practices we have established with the next generation of industry leaders.”
The EMS Leadership of Tomorrow Program is designed for individuals currently working in the EMS profession and for individuals outside the industry who have a strong desire to develop long-term careers in EMS. Course curriculum is taught by some of the industry’s most accomplished leaders and entrepreneurs.
The EMS Leadership of Tomorrow Program will welcome its first class in January 2019 and will feature four multi-day, on-location course modules covering key areas of EMS management, including:
