Supplemental Training

EMS Leadership of Tomorrow candidates must complete several supplemental training courses, either prior to starting the program or concurrent with the program. The foundation covers supplemental course registration fees for applicants who are accepted into the program.

Ambulance Service Manager Program

Who should apply for the EMS Leadership of Tomorrow Program?
The Priority Ambulance Leadership Foundation supports professionals currently practicing in EMS and individuals outside of the industry who show promise as future management leaders. Successful candidates must complete three supplemental courses, either prior to the beginning the program or concurrent with the EMS Leadership for Tomorrow class they will be attending.
Do I need a certain number of years’ experience in the EMS industry to apply?
No. The EMS Leadership of Tomorrow Program is designed for current EMS professionals and for individuals outside the industry who have a strong desire to develop long-term, EMS leadership careers. 
Should I provide letters of recommendation or reference to accompany my application?
We accept all applications and supporting documents for our EMS Leadership of Tomorrow Program online. Please click on the “Apply Now” button to fill out and submit your application. You will be asked to submit a resume, two letters of recommendation and an essay with your application.
How do I apply for the next EMS Leadership of Tomorrow class?
All required  information is contained within the application. You will be asked to provide a copy of your current resume along with your application.
How often and where are classes held?
EMS Leadership of Tomorrow students meet four times annually (one week per quarter) for classroom and hands-on instruction. Sessions are held in Knoxville, TN; Scottsdale, AZ; Indianapolis, IN; and Austell, GA (metro-Atlanta area).  
How much time away from my job will be required to attend the program?
EMS Leadership of Tomorrow is a yearlong program that requires four total weeks of classroom and hands-on instruction. The curriculum calls for one week of training per quarter over the course of the year.
How far in advance do I need to apply?
The application process is will open for the Class of 2020 EMS Leadership of Tomorrow executive training program in the winter of 2019. Classes will begin in Spring 2020. Applicants accepted into the program will be notified as promptly as possible of their selection.
Are all program costs, lodging and travel covered for applicants who are accepted into the program?
If you are accepted into the EMS Leadership of Tomorrow Program, all course materials, transportation, lodging and meals are provided.
Is any preparation required before I apply for the EMS Leadership of Tomorrow Program?
Successful candidates must complete three supplemental courses, either prior to the start of their EMS Leadership of Tomorrow coursework or concurrent with the program. The foundation covers the cost of prerequisite class registration fees. These supplemental courses are: the Ambulance Service Manager Program, Certified Ambulance Coder and National Incident Management System (NIMS) Incident Command System Training.
